We teamed up with Alexanders Sellas and Michael Maier to design and program the new custom CMS driven “Mediacreation” website.
Brief
Create a simple portfolio website where potential clients can get a visual imagination of the company’s work. Show our clients, avoid deeplinks and create an “easter egg” with our Logo.
Solution
A Grid based website with video stills, where you can open projects without being referred to another page. We created a client site that shows the whole alphabet and by hovering over the letters you see the clients. This method gave us the chance to avoid boring lists.
Technologies
HTML, CSS, Jquery, PHP and Flash

Movie Description
The short film Jam Jar by young director Veree Lynn Puhm, a drama set in the 1950′s in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, thematizes intolerance and the power society can have over individuals. It’s about a woman, Mae Allen Clarks, working as a pin-up girl, who gets involved in lies and false-motivated accusations of alleged communistic intrigues. To prevail against the society she remains faithful to herself but loses her husband’s appreciation and endorsement, who is rather floating with the current. The movie is about emancipation, the development of one’s personality, civil courage to defy the accepted common opinion and the spirit to lean against the mass.
Work Description
Our concept is based on the fact that the film was produced in the year 2010. Therefore we decided to do a mixture between past and contemporary styles and techniques. The portrait shows “Mae Allen Clarks” during a demonstration.
By layering various elements with various transparencies, we created kind of an abstract floral pattern, which stands for feminity and emancipation.
The modern look is supported by thin lines which were programmed in “Adobe Flash”. The patterns consist of triangles and circles only. The look of the lines is gentle and fragile. Although they are following a very strict programmed system, they break each other up.

The trip to Berlin also included a visit at the Berlin based designstudio HORT.
Working with Tobias and Jacob was absolutely great! Creating a CD digipack-artwork using basically analogue techniques and a old black and white copier was not only a lot of fun but also ended up in a great result.
Thank you for the fancy feedback and two super nice days!
Here are the CD Digipack Artworks.

2:
This sketch was our favorite one, because it included exactly the things we wanted to show and to communicate. Therefore we decided to work with this visual idea and take this a few steps further.

3:
We did everything by hand, and colored the whole thing with watercolors. The brief was to create something which communicates that skateboarding without Vans shoes isn’t possible at all.

The Typography Part:
4:
Typography is always a very important part. Therefore I suggest to try always a lot of different type treatments. The first idea was to do something street art like, stencils etc. ! We really liked it though we really wanted to have something more human

5:
BLOOD – actually it’s real blood, no fake. It’s Juergen’s blood. We had to try various treatments really quick because blood dry’s so fast.

6:
Drying…

The final pieces were scanned and then refined in photoshop.

Here’s one final piece.
